The stigmatization of people living with HIV/AIDS kills faster than the virus itself. This is so because being a victim of stigmatization leads to several things like the inability to take good care of oneself, thereby leading to accommodating the virus.
And when there is no adequate attention paid to the virus, underlying diseases and infections begin to arise, which can lead to AIDS and, eventually, death.
I believe the reason above is good enough to stop YOU from stigmatizing, but in case you are not yet convinced, I do have your time.
WHY YOU SHOUDN’T STIGMATIZE PEOPLE LIVING WITH HIV/AIDS
When you stigmatize, you open doors for; unsafe sexual activities, poor adherence to treatment, exposure to AIDS, decreased self-esteem, seclusion from required health services, different kinds of depression, even death.
Now you see that this isn’t some child play.
Stigmatization kills faster for any diseases, and as a good human being, you should not stigmatize your fellow human being for whatever reason.
As I begin to type up my last words on our HIV/AIDS Awareness Campaign, I am employing you to ALWAYS SAY NO TO STIGMATIZATION.
